As reported by Crain's Chicago business today, the Chicagoland area is experiencing an extremely high level of foreclosure activity. While all real estate is definitely local, the properties that are selling are the ones where the Buyers are looking for a steal or a deal. It is such a sad state of affairs & now the brilliant economists are talking about a turnaround - but maybe not until 2012! What a giant mess with so many sellers going thru such a painful time in their lives & watching their nest eggs evaporate with a 25-30% loss in value just these past 3+ years.
1 in every 333 homes received a foreclosure filing in September of 2010! [those details might be cut off when you view the below graphic]
