LABELS TO BE CAREFUL OF:

The labels on your cleaning products that feature the following words:

Danger and Poison tend to be the most dangerous
Danger and Warning are slightly toxic

If it says: “may cause skin irritation” - “flammable” - “vapors harmful” and "may cause burns on contact" - be careful

AVOID: Anything that contains chlorine or ammonia

Just because something says eco-friendly or non-toxic does not necessarily mean it is.

Cleaning products cannot be certified organic

Watch for claims regarding degradation. Those that offer specific time periods (e.g. biodegradable) in five days are better

Ventilate your rooms during and after cleaning. Promptly remove cleaning supplies from occupied spaces once you are done using them.

Don’t use ozone generators or ionizing air cleaners if you can help it – the ozone created by these devices is harmful to your health, so if possible get rid of them

GREEN TO USE:  Solvent-free; plant-based; no phosphates; and no petroleum based ingredients - Live a Healthier Life in your own Home.
